Title

This dress is a unique and unrepeatable piece created by the Bak-luch, a cooperative of 17 artisans from Bashantic, San Andrés Larráinzar, Chiapas and co-owners of Juxta Nation. The group consolidated ten years ago independently and then joined NGOimpacto three years ago with the aim of strengthening their textile production processes. Today, their main activities include a combination of artisanal work, agriculture and maintenance of their households.

Bak-luch started working mainly organized by a number of young women concerned about maintaining their textiles tradition. They are skillful in the elaboration of geometric brocades that are part of their rich heritage, and are keen in learning new techniques. Due to its artisanal work, it can present slight variations in the patterns.
