Traditional handcrafted earthenware shaped by the artisans of Tlahutoltepec, in the Mixe region of Oaxaca. Many of these practical, multi-purpose clay vessels were originally used to knead and store “masa” dough when making tortillas. All pieces can be readily used to cook over direct flame*. *Note: These items are not suitable for holding liquids long term (1-3 hours at most), as their interiors are not glazed, but natural finish clay. They are, however, perfect for cooking beans, stews, etc.
