Ser-Tiempo (Being-time)

A nomad remembers through sounds. He wanders the Latin American territory in search of rituals, dances, substances, ceremonies and parties. His music, which is an offering, puts us into a trance.

U-ji means in Japanese to be time: “the time each person perceives within the entire universe”.

‘Ser tiempo’ is also the title of the new short film about the sound search of Luis Maurette, aka Uji. Directed by the Venezuelan Carlos Rivero, the documentary is an in-depth portrait of the Argentine artist, whose musical project navigates between the ritualism of indigenous cultures and the complexities of electronic music.
