Stone carving was one of the greatest artistic expressions of the ancient Maya. Using representative Yucatan stones such as conchuela, ticul stone and Mayan cream, Ochil masters make beautiful pieces from napkin rings to molcajetes.
This technique requires great dedication from the cutting and carving process to the final polishing.
