      Bring a little magic to your coffee, chocolate, or tea and go more organic with this mug. The mug can contain 300 ml. This mysterious finishing is unique from the Tonaltepec community, Oaxaca. It’s done with natural pigments. Tonaltepec is one of the few places that still use natural dyes. The finishing and shape may vary because of the handmade process. It is normal that mud “sweats” at the beginning. If this happens, you can “cure” the item by dipping it in water with salt for 24 hours. Size: Mug W 4, H 3.5 in. Coaster Diameter 5 in.       Black clay is a style of pottery from San Bartolo De Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico, characterized by its color, authenticity and unique designs. Oaxaca is one of the Mexican states that conserve its ancestral crafts and still use it in everyday life. The unique properties of this region’s clay cannot be found anywhere else. Each piece is made and cut by hand and baked in a fire of thick black smoke for about 20 days to create its unique color. Size h 4.5 x  w 7 inches includes the teapot and a wood lid.

The technique used for the almond collection is originally from Zapotitla Puebla and is called Burniche Mud; the name comes from the use of different quartz to polish the piece at the end of the process. After the artisan takes the soil from the mountains, they leave it under the sun to dry for about 2 to 3 days. After this, the mud mixes with water and turn into soft mud to be able to work and mold the pieces. After the piece is mold, they leave it under the sun and then in the oven several times until it takes this authentic look.
